Yes we have to realize that we are a people that is saved by grace and Gods mercy , not because we have done anything so great to deserve any of the gifts that are given to us. God's grace and mercy is not for our use only; It is to share and to give to others. Especially to those who think that they have gone too far out of God's reach, therefore thinking that God couldn't possibly still love them after what they have done. Jesus said" he did not come to destroy men lives, but to save them" Luke 9:56. If we are to be like God we will not look at the sin of the person and say no way he can be saved , but look at our selves and say " I am also a sinner saved by grace." If God had mercy on me and my mess , I know that his mercy can't be isolated only to me, but given freely to anyone that is seeking it. Jonah realized that God can and do forgive , cleanse, and pardon in a moment's time even the vilest of sin, upon proper confession and admission to him. (1Jn. 1:) that is why he stated " Therefore I fled to Tarshish: for I knew that you are a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger , and of great kindness, and you repent of the evil. Jonah 4:2 . Our call or assignment have been set before to day. We are to be a light in this dark world, and to let others know no matter how far you think that you have gone , God is still there with loving arms ready to forgive with a moments notice.
